This page has been designed to keep people informed on the progress of my screenplay entitled "Greenbrier Road". Let me start by saying that my name is James Holland and I live in Roanoke, Texas which is north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Although I am a resident of Texas I will always consider West Virginia my home.
My grandparents, Dave and Irene Hicks, lived on Greenbrier Road in Richwood. For a while after my brother was born I lived there as well. My family eventually moved to Texas in 1979 but I visited West Virginia almost every year and faithfully attended Little Laurel Baptist Church.
To my screenplay. I am entering the "Project Greenlight" contest which is a yearly contest run by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. I chose to write a drama about teenagers coming of age one summer in Richwood, West Virginia. It's simply an ode to the most beautiful city and state in the world.
The "Story Page" is where you'll find a synopsis of "Greenbrier Road". The calendar page will keep you updated on my progress as well as when the contest starts.
