"Greenbrier Road" centers around four closely knit friends, who have just graduated high school, in the small town of Richwood, West Virginia. Tommy Lewis is the star athlete and possible number one draft pick in the Major League baseball draft who has decided to attend college with his girlfriend Julie Hinkle. Bo Mullins is attending West Virginia University on a football scholarship, and Jerry Hazle has decided to stay behind and work in the coal mines with his father.
Troubles arise when Tommy's dad insists that he also stay behind to work on their farm. This forces Tommy to make his own decision. To leave both father and girlfriend behind and enter the baseball draft alienating both of them.
It isn't until one tragic night that Tommy and his friends question their own lives and ponder their futures.
This is the second screenplay by James Holland who is currently negotiating his first.
